That's interesting - IMO there may be 2 reasons they're doing it - 1st could be to run the business until all the receivables are collected. 2nd could be that they have the passion and/or insight to use the opportunity as a springboard to reopen. There is a lot of valuable intellectual property - branding, marketing materials, contact lists, systems, IT which could be used to advantage, but I am more likely to swing toward the former - they've taken the medicine just so that they can get some more money back then if they walked away.
