The company last year employed two patent attorneys who are located at the Perth Office one of which as was widely discussed at the time came over from Samsung.

These two patent attorneys were employed as part of a strategic plan proposed by the CTO to manage the costs associated with ensuring world wide protection of Brainchip’s intellectual property. The patents coming out of the USA were drafted and filed by the best in the business in the USA and lodged under PCT and it is the job of the in house patent attorneys to run with these granted patents and achieve registration around the globe. It was announced late last year that Brainchip is hoping to have around 100 patents granted by end of 2022.

Naughty people do naughty things you cannot stop them but fortunately it is in the commercial interest of most to respect patents so in my opinion Brainchip is doing everything humanly possible to protect shareholders assets.

Longer term holders will recall Mr. Dinardo speaking to the recognition BY Brainchip the company that it’s value was completely tied up in its patents and they were giving absolute priority to ensuring they were sound and provide maximum protection.
