Yeah, saw that. IGA's niche was the corner shop, but Coles and Woolies are putting in so many outlets that for many people, Coles/Woolies IS the local corner shop.
I don't think IGA is going to disappear any time soon but I think MTS need to face facts that optimising the business through Project Diamond etc is only going to slow the decline.
Their only real scope for growth is in the other pillars, which have been growing quite nicely. Especially the liquor pillar.
