If the employment market is bad now it will only get worse in my opinion, technology is making many jobs redundant and employers are running much leaner along with continued outsourcing threats. I'd avoid this sector and if I owned a recruitment company I would look to sell it ASAP. If I worked in one I would look at alternate career paths, lets face it what do recruiters really do? Flick on a resume in my experience and make up lies about how good the place you are applying for is.
