Another big one is out: Fortescue has beaten profit forecasts for the first half of the 2015 financial year, recording a $331 million underlying result today.
The result was better than the $329 million expected by analysts, but a massive 81 per cent below last year's result.
Shareholders will be paid a 3 cent dividend, disappointing hopes for a 5-cent payout, and well below last year's final dividend of 10 cents.
