Do you think that it is possible that the buying on Friday was not only shorters covering their position, but also in part because anyone who was looking at this thing in the cold hard light of day sold prior to Friday to avoid being caught out in a trading halt and risk further erosion to their capital. That would create a situation where the number of speculative buyers to sellers on Friday was tilted in the direction of buyers. As in if there are more buyers and less sellers then the price would see a small rise - such as it did. That and shorters covering their position. Just a thought.
