The Royal Bank of Scotland has agreed to pay $12.58 million to settle a consumer class action brought on behalf of purchasers of its financial products.

RBS has agreed to pay $12.28 million, including about $5 million costs, to settle the class action, according to a March 20 court order signing off on the settlement.

The case was filed in Federal Court in Sydney by Shine Lawyers on behalf of about 200 people who were advised by Penrith-based Navra Financial Services Pty Ltd (Navra) to buy RBS financial products between February 2008 and March 2011."
