Anyone who needs a 1 billion pound rescue package is totally screwed in my opinion. Thomas Cook aren't going to make it and even if they survive, they will so debt laden as to be almost dead in the water. I've invested heavily in Webjet, and it's B2B business is very impressive, but I was not aware enough of their disastrous involvement with Thomas Cook.
My own fault. I did not do enough research. My Webjet investment is now a stranded asset for the foreseeable future. With recession an almost certainty (I think we are actually already in recession), the Webjet share price is only heading down.
Tough times. Tough market. A forced long hold.
