Appen's result beat all forecasts, prompting UBS to upgrade to Buy, $29.79.
The share price response on the day was probably inspired by a disappointing June quarter performance at freshly acquired Figure Eight.
FY20 guidance was only upgraded to where consensus already sat. All brokers are keen on the near term growth story and see further upside potential.
Credit Suisse (Hold) remains alert for any longer term industry deterioration.
