Long term I think they can make a go of it, although the days of rapid fire 'good news' announcements that deliver quick 10c SP jumps are over - the numbers now need to do the talking and they have certainly said a lot today.
Acquiring the plant, albeit a good move, is going to take time to get right and from what I've heard on the grapevine it is well under capacity (which pushes up COGS). Getting out of the Bega and Fonterra arrangements and putting this volume through their own site should help.
If you're in it for the long run you'll be fine.
