I have owned stock in this business for the past year and have gotten to learn more about it over time. I really like the space - providing feed to an array of agri and aqua culture segments. Positioning for strong growth in protein in Asia. All good. This business should be kicking goals, with a share price double what we see. But RIC has a problem with execution. Two lawsuits, sending contaminated product to key clients, write downs of development projects - it is not a pretty picture. And why on earth is RIC getting involved in a residential development project in Geelong? Nothing to do with its core business at a time when the company appears to be struggling to execute on its core business opportunities. Can a larger company involved in this space with competent executives run their eyes over RIC books and business and consider making a takeover offer?
