Having just gained access to the portal, I can say that it's not the fastest, but it works well - in particular the dashboard that is customizable. That said, I don't have access to IM's website yet.
As for ex GST price, that makes sense to me. As a reseller, I'd only pay GST on the profit I make, rather than the entire product... so why would I want GST amounts in there? Yes, I'd need to pay them the GST, but I get it back when I on-sell the product (those able to obtain credit with DDR wouldn't have this issue, which is probably why they do it).
Pricing - I can't comment still, as no access to IM.
As for freight - they generally charge anyone outside the main cities, unless your invoice is < $300 (ex GST), in which case you get charged $10. They also have Drop-ship services for deliveries; so as a reseller, I don't even need to touch the product. IM also have this, so no real difference here.
Can't comment on much else until I get access to Ingram Micro's site. But of what I've seen so far, it's not that bad. It just seems that they have a particular type of customer in mind, and if you don't meet that description, they're not really interested.
