Its just that the divvy deed not meet market expectations and I also cannot also see why they are being so parsimonius with it given around 12c earnings per share. What gives ?? Daresay some fund managers and instos may be on the phone asking the same. Now I know that historically the next half year dividend will be considerably more if they follow the usual pattern of behavior. If the BoD thought they could give us a miserable divvy because shareholders have benefitted from a decent rise in the SP this past month or so, then they clearly do not understand market perceptions and behavior, a la the very substantial SP decline today.
