Quit while you can. You need a plate mill to roll the product for subs. There is only one Plate mill in Australia and BlueScope are the owners. BlueScope do not own any other plate mills in any other countries. Rolled at a bigger mill??? = plate will be imported. By what I've read (goggle) the majority of the pressure hull volume for subs is between 50mm to 75mm thick and therefore the 300mm thick slab would not be required to roll plate in the above thicknesses.
