There is a 3 or 4 month lag in domestic prices so the prices in Asia today can't be directly compared to todays Bluescope prices. Importers are ordering/buying today for delivery in say January2022 so the Bluescope price today should be compared to an Asia price from back in May or June 2021. Prices are moving so rapidly it would be really hard to compare import prices and the BSL price unless you are living and breathing it everyday.
COLORBOND is probably a different issue as it is BSLs premium product (Research, warranties, advertising etc) and they would not want it to be caught in the ups and downs in short term pricing cycles. If they put in a price increase( someone mentioned 8% in Feb 2022) they would want to keep that gain after the price of other products head south.
