I'm inclined to think SHV could reach a good position in the medium term. 2023 is not going to be great with all the floods and storms, historically low almond price. I expect it will probably end up better than 2022 with low water costs, a rising almond price, high demand for premium nuts with California's shortfall.
2024 or 25 is where I think the good times will return. With catchments full from all the rain we've had the water price will still be low. Nearly all SHV's orchards will be fully mature. But of course there is still a lot of uncertainty around interest and inflation rates, economic growth, etc.
