I have no access to super computers to be able to do complex climate modelling however had read a research piece a few years back, maybe even a decade ago, that claims the SHV central growing area would become increasingly hotter and drier.
Unfortunately it was too long ago for me to remember where I read it. The item was not directed at SHV as such, more just a broad study into the impact of continental shift on weather patterns. I don't think that climate change factored into the modelling though.
