Reported NPAT is for statutory reasons and actually also says what the company really earned during the period. It does include one-off items such as the GBF earn-out payment.
To give a better idea what the company would have earned without these one-off items, they also report the NPAT excluding one-off items. This has gone up 4% compared to prior period. As a shareholder you can then make up your mind what will be the NPAT and reported NPAT in future.
