Struggle to survive? Turn it up mate, talk about throwing some mayo on it. ALL has a very strong international business that has shown persistent and rapid growth across the past decade. Yes some of the proposals in NSW may make a material difference to their bottom line in the short term (if they are all adopted) but this in no way questions their future viability. Gambling has a long history in Australia and many identify it as part of "our culture". Yes governments want to address
problem gambling (as they should) but they will do this in a stepped and measured manner and won't be throwing the baby out with the bathwater. There are too many tax dollars at stake!
Can't help but wonder what your agenda is here? As a non-owner you seem to be posting a lot on ALL threads at the moment and seem overly invested in talking down an investment you don't own. The tone of it suggests down ramping. Don't have a short position by chance?
Not that I care. I'm content to have this company in my portfolio and back it in to continue to grow earnings and dividends into the future.
My only concession is that the proposed changes add uncertainty and the market doesn't like uncertainty (ironic because most things in the market are uncertain). I believe this is contributing to the recent share price weakness. I believe that once any changes are known, the market will digest this and ALL will march forward and higher! GLTAH.
