I hope that you are right.
But, governments will always talk up spending up on defense. They always have a glossy booklet and some photo ops to show their intent. Then they look at the price.
Defense spending puts pressure on inflation and budgets. And if you buy extra toys then you need to people to person them and maintain them etc- that puts pressure on the labour market.
We have seen inflation. Yep, those rich in assets can do well.
