Since the distribution of 4DX looked so interesting I thought I'd compare it with a few others. It turns out that the skew towards small holding is more or less proportional to the share price. When the share price is in the cents there's a big spread. As the price grows, fewer people can afford to have big numbers of shares. For example, 86% of RIO shareholders own fewer than 1,000 shares, which is not surprising given they'd be worth around $110k. It's all obviou when you think about - which I hadn't.

So, it turns out here's nothing unusual about 4DX but I'm looking forward to the day when 86% of 4DX shareholders own fewer than 1,000 shares each!
