Iranian FeSi being priced out of the market
Cheap Iranian ferrosilicon is a thing of the past. A major ferrosilicon producer, Hamedon, is expected to declare bankruptcy due to higher production costs, notably electricity. The country’s ferrosilicon association recently announced a $150 per mt increase in export prices from $1,100 per mt ex works due to power.
