The new guy obviously has experience and contacts in the battery industry. He’s based in Germany and is probably a native German speaker.
That puts him streets ahead of the previous “salesman”, who produced NO SALES and the SP languished accordingly. As for “opening doors”, I’m going to suggest none of those either. Plenty of buffet appearances though…
