I'm inclined to agree given that the company seems comfortable maintaining the dividend. In terms of p/e/contraction, it is perhaps more a matter of the market having treated the catastrophe earnings as permanent -- and then re-rating as a result of that. I think yesterday's drop was simply a panic follow on from the massive drop the day prior. What happens today will be more meaningful (one way or the other).
