From posts on hotcopper costs on,So Mozz and lactoferrins don't balance each other.
- Mozz - milk (ONLY) cost is $5.55kg. Sells to McCains and WOW at $5.50kg so NO overhead recovery or margin. If BFC makes say 14000 tonnes of Mozz pa then loss on Mozz (say $1kg) is approx $14mpa.
- lactoferrins - cost I believe is around $400kg. Shown in posts herein spot price has dropped to $700kg. BFC has no contracts. So 25 tonnes at spot price = $300kg net = $7.5m
Cream - BFC sells approx 4.5m kgs. Price?
Looks like Cream is the saviour.
