I think you underestimate how much more pear shaped the covid situation has gone in NSW in the last 4 weeks..

Morrison can bloviate about plans as much as he likes.
The reality is that when it comes to dealing with covid, Morrison is largely in a position of responsibility without power.
The prerogative of the eunuch throughout the ages.

Any covid plans devised by politicians are at best provisional.
Rather, the virus, the level of vaccination and the capacity of the health system to deal with the burden of covid cases will ultimately determine when opening up occurs.
All around the developed world, ramping at hospitals has tended to focus politicians' minds.

So, tire wear will be down in NSW in the December half..
We will be fortunate if the epidemic of tire longevity can be confined to that state.
Otherwise, it's a great result for NTD.
