Nothing to do with coal price
Markets react to missed targets, especially when targets have already been adjusted, as production and cost are a marker of a miner's competence.
Also WHC has run up nicely recently so the market will be on a hair trigger, a positive announcement about production or price realisation would have seen the share price gap upwards today.
If this is a one-off, then absolutely, a minor miss on Narrabri is neither here or there.
