The burn isnt going to work when hey only picked up 106 Pharmacies in Aus. They've already beaten that this year with the priceline addition if we are nice and say they will retain 100% of the existing base. If they were growing exponentially you might accept the burn.
I agree with what you are saying around monetisation - I'm slightly clear on the path to profit in the US but no idea how they will achieve it here in Aus. The challenge is a script app is super easy to replicate and they could easily price themselves out of a market - I cant see subscriptions to Pharma being profitable in the long term unless they find new ways to deliver value to the pharmacy.
Scripts are one thing, but Pharmacies make $$ when you pick up the panamax for 2 bucks or people buy makeup /nappies / vitamins / perfume while picking up a script. Medadvisor need to go after this within the app and find a way to get the punters into incremental in app purchases (without bombarding them).
They need to use the algorithmic stuff they are working on in the US to help with the above.
They didn't mention 1 thing about making pharmacies more productive (cost to serve reductions?) which would enable more conversion
They need to get on the front foot with governments - covid was a big miss.
Why they would partner with health engine as opposed to having a booking engine perplexes me... (especially when health engine is so crap)
IMHO they should flog off the Aus business unless they can quickly turn it profitable, get out of the UK (or find a partner) and focus on the US where companies are allowed to advertise medications to people.
