I ordered some small accessory items from David Jones online on 14 September which arrived today (Myer didn't stock it). I expected standard delivery to take even longer in all the circumstances.
I ordered online a special wine early last week standard delivery from Liquorland which I was told will be delayed due to Australia Post issues and I should expect it end of this week and if there is a strike as you say, I wouldn't get it till next week if I'm lucky. So I cancelled that order and changed it to click/collect which is ready now but its not contact free - i will collect tomorrow.
I see that many people are harsh on the retailers for delivery delays but it is just not feasible for the demand to be met as we would like. Online orders are now overwhelming resources and xmas shopping orders are already in the pipeline.
