Australia Post is pausing standard parcel pickup for five days from tomorrow (Friday 30 September 2021) in Greater Melbourne for five days.
'The Oz' has an extensive article that'll be in the paper on Friday.
MYR features with this comment:

“Unlike online-only retailers, we offer customers our popular free same-day click and collect service at our stores as an alternative option for their deliveries..."
I have used click-and-collect: it worked well, but isn't suitable for everyone. Not all have a car or want to use RideShare (Uber etc.) or taxis, and carrying items home on public transport (which I do) is only possible if the items are not heavy or overly bulky.
