MCP spent 27m on Oriental Botanics, only for sales from Dr Lewinns to collapse from 37 mil to 7 mil...
worse still, they guided 20M sales in FY20..
yet in 7 months we've owned it.. 9.5mil..so 16.28 annualised, so big doubt on getting 2 mil EBIT even, they claim 1.4 mil ebit in 7 months but take that with a bowl of salt, even considering that, it puts NPAT around 1.3.. so we paid over 20 P/E for this dud... amazing business guys
Board love to tout positive macro trends...
Which is interesting for a company who acquired a new company, only for sales to drop 10% and 60% drop in EBIT even then... in a growing macro trend environment..
Plus 2.2 million spent on takeover response and acquisition advisory.. only for the price to be now much lower than pre-takeover offer.. and no great acquisition except the overpriced blackmore thing we bought.
Boards asleep at the wheel, need a massive protest vote at the agm to spur these clowns.
