A war must have adverse effects such as growers finding it harder to concentrate on their core activity, inputs (including, in time, even seeds) potentially in short supply, roads damaged so moving farm equipment become challenging and perhaps the biggie, men 18 to 60 required to enlist at very short notice for military service.
Plus possible damage to farm equipment or infrastructure, and shockingly, growers and employees/contractors being indiscriminately killed.
