Rising interest rates in USA has strengthened the $ US. Strong $ is kryptonite for Gold. Gold however is still very important. Russians stabilized their Rubble by offering to swap for gold. Saudi Arabia is also also selling oil to China for Chinese Renminbi. Or swap for Gold. Czechoslovakia is going to start buying gold also.
Aust $ @69c US will help. Still hopefull for 3 c dividend soon.
