There is a story in 'The Weekend Australian' today that a supermarket chain I avoid as I don't like rancid meat, Aldi, has recently had 1200 supplier requests for price rise approval, five times the usual number of 'asks'.

I haven't checked PTL competitor prices as I don't buy from its rivals at MTS' IGAs, WOW or COL, but these multinationals may be incurring even higher cost increases than PTL due to in some cases the whole product being imported, not just some 'components' as is the case for PTL with its Shepparton, Victoria manufacturing plants.
