Northern Star increases dividend as profit, earnings jump
Northern Star Resources’snet profit after tax (NPAT) increased 43 per cent to $261 million in the half year ended December 31, driven by higher gold production and “portfolio optimisation”.
The company reported underlying NPAT of $108 million, while underlying EBITDA was $699 million, up 47 per cent on the prior comparable period. Cash earnings were $430 million for the half, while revenue was $1.8 billion – 63 per cent higher than the prior half year.
