IMO Karl and Peter should step aside. They may be technically sound (I hope so). But they are definitely not a management material. Like Telstra, MQG etc and all ASX listed companies, it is the Management's/Board's interest to take appropriate executive actions for the benefit of the shareholders. LVT should employ an outside executive to run the company properly like AusPost.

Regarding executive payment/benefits, LVT is their company and they can setup whatever policy for the benefit of themselves or the company as a whole. But a number of corporation executive DO NOT receive salaries but only company shares such as Tesla - Elon Musk, Amazon - Jeff Bezos. Because they do not receive salaries, they are paying Zero income tax.

The company might still have a chance. The founders need to let it go and allow a more competent businessman. A person who has a turnaround experience. A "backstreet fighting" experience.

When the company is having cashfow problem, the 1st thing is to cut R&D and marketing. As for K and P, it is DO or Die. Nothing to loss.
