The Microsoft exclusive JEDI contract got caught up in years of legal disputes from Amazon. So the whole contract was eventually scrapped and the project/tender process had to start again. It's now going to be a multi-vendor project, with Microsoft still in the running to pick up some of the $10 billion dollars in contract signings. I believe US Defence Department were due to start awarding contracts from this month.
