Only for the banking sector, is not in their DNA or skill set, mostly focussed on cost out at the front end or customer service, but mega bonuses for some others. How many times have bank CEO's issued press reports re systems enhancement and all of that, on a very regular basis, same project, rinse and repeat. Even the public sector can achieve in some cases, timely integration of sophisticated IT systems, but not for the banking sector. Can recall then CBA CEO (Ralph Norris, now Sir Ralph Norris domiciled in his native NZ), with his IT background, announced several times an updated and enhanced IT communications and cost saving network, nothing of any substance actually achieved. As for ANZ and NAB, quintessential 1970's banks, quill pen and eye shades still the go there.
