My main concern about overseas gold projects is that if the POG really does take off, as seems likely, and particularly if a gold-backed currency becomes a reality, governments around the world are going to grab all the gold that they can get, and any foreign-owned mines are likely to be nationalised, probably without compensation. We are already seeing signs of what is coming.
Concentrating on building up a gold company in Australia looks like a much safer option.
