Producing lithium hydroxide in Australia only makes sense if ev batteries are being produced here as well.
That may be the reason that Tianqi/IGO (Kwinana) and Albemarle (Kemerton) have built lithium hydroxide plants in WA.
The next part of the jigsaw will be, who will be manufacturing ev batteries in WA?
