Re Canada this has been clear for a looong time. Did you miss the update where they threatened to put opps on care and maintenance?

Suspect COVID-19 disruptions made this worse (by making it hard for Australian head office staff to travel) but very clear local Atlantic mgmt and Australian head office dropped the ball with regulators. Having said that sounds like the threat to put opps on care and maintenance has kicked the regulators into gear as while there is no shortage of hippies in the province anybody with half a brain can see it is a meaningful contributor to employment and economic output (NS has < 1m total residents).

Re Leonora they were pretty clear in the Q4 that grades were going to be low during FY23. Anybody reading between the lines should have forecast rising AISC. Re CJ and guidance I think that is a bit unfair. Quite clear BV left the operations in a pretty poor state of readiness both in Leonora and Simberi. Contrary to popular belief you actually have to be exploration drilling and mine planning multiple quarters ahead of time to get good outcomes.
