That is a learning- I underestimated the extent to which renovations are discretionary.
Less comfort from profit resilience because the bar in now higher- higher interest rates increases the level of risk free profit.
Worst case scenario- I collect dividends until renovations becomes a thing again.
Thinking aloud- been noting that less established housing for sale in WA- generally properties get somewhat of a makeover before sale or otherwise just after sale but before occupation- could this be a factor to even some extent?
It has been previously noted that around $1.78 appears to be long term support.
