I've been modelling revenues (pretty accurately) but it's not that effective modelling OPEX as it is dependent only on the company and is heavily affected by big growth decisions like new premises, extra staffing etc.
So it is difficult to make projections on profitability. Easier to model revenue and watch the gap increase as one usually grows in a linear fashion (OPEX) and the other in parabolic fashion (REVENUE).
