I wouldn't be surprised at all if the TGP purchase was from Soul Patts, because a) it was a clean 3% which is the maximum amount that TGP can acquire under the 'Creep provisions' in a 12-month period without launching a formal takeover, and b) it was a clean round number of stock (4,333,000) suggesting that it was a crossing-trade or block trade put through aftermarket with just one buyer and one seller, and c) Soul Patts are the only single holder with that number of stock.

I could be wrong as it could have been a number of sellers that a broker arranged, clubbed together, and sold to TGP. We will know in a couple of days regardless because Soul Patts would have to disclose that they are no longer a substantial holder, as it would take them below 5% should they be the seller.
