Theft is becoming a major problem for business in Australia today. Unfortunately its deemed as racist if anybody mentions who are mostly doing it, so even mentioning who is doing it will result in racist remarks.
“It’s definitely way worse than it was before COVID,” Mr King said about theft. “We’re starting to see some improvement ... and some early signs, where we’re focusing in on particularly organised crime element of it.”
Myer is not alone in stepping up its scrutiny of stealing. It was a problem observed by Coles when it reported annual results last month.
