Anyway, Xero's huge mistake was hiring 1000 people in the downturn when developer salaries were at a peak ("Xero is winning the war for talent") + ("The company added about 1000 full-time equivalent employees in the year to September 30. This was up 30 per cent on the previous year... )
The sacking of CEO Steve Vamos for that mistake + layoffs corrected things, then obviously the bar was lifted to cut costs, while growth has continued. I'm happy.
