My thoughts on the impairment are similar to yours. It feels as though they decided if they were going to get that DTA added to the p&l then they would use the opportunity to offset that gain with a provision on the PDPs. From the numbers I have, collections appear to be broadly in line with previous periods; it doesn't appear they have actually seen any deterioration in the book...yet.
Everything about this last year feels like KJ has decided he wants that to be a line in the sand.
