You're a braver man than me, mah! I have 2 golden rules of investing....

1. Don't borrow to invest.
2. Have 2-5 years of living expenses held in cash for rainy day/catastrophic events like dividend slashing pandemics and wars .

Do you reckon I'm being too risk averse conservative?

With X day being,I think, September 6, do you usually wait for the price drop, or snare the shares preX, to grab the extra dividends?

Whatever you do, I hope it works out well, and you have a delightful time in Byron.
