1. Don't borrow to invest.
2. Have 2-5 years of living expenses held in cash for rainy day/catastrophic events like dividend slashing pandemics and wars .
Do you reckon I'm being too risk averse conservative?
With X day being,I think, September 6, do you usually wait for the price drop, or snare the shares preX, to grab the extra dividends?
Whatever you do, I hope it works out well, and you have a delightful time in Byron. As a young surfie, I used to stay with friends on farms in the foothills around Byron, and ride the perfect waves of The Pass and Wategos...bliss! There was an old cinema with deckchairs for viewing.
