If the US Fed attack gold as a hedge, you can be sure they will do the same to Bitcoin and crypto soon. The difference is that it's a lot less risk to have a physical commodity like gold. It is a lot harder for the government to take off you! The moment they seize or try to manipulate crypto, the entire ponzi scheme will come unstuck. Nothing is as safe as gold during poor economic periods. Right now we are seeing plenty of young woke 'tech gurus' spruiking all these alternatives, but like everything woke these days, it eventually gets destroyed as reality kicks in.

I do agree that EVN and other gold stocks need to find ways to minimise costs in this high inflation environment. They need to make themselves more competitive and reward shareholders to share increased profits. Especially when there are other options and opportunities for investors to park their money as there is right now. But for how long..
